About the event

The Great Lace is one of America's largest events for enthuiasts of alterntive Japanese-street style. From the streets of Harajuku to the streets of Chicago, these styles are only getting bigger with social media! We are proud to invite clothing brands from all over the world to participate in our event. The Great Lace features a fashion show, guest workshops, vendors hall, community panels, and a tea party.

We are Frillinois, an organization dedicated to promoting culture exchange through fashion in the Chicagoland area. Our focus in events promoting J-fashion. J-fashion refers to any fashion from Japan, typically focusing on Japanese alternative fashion born out of Japanese youth culture. While these fashions originated in Japan, they are enjoyed today across the world, from Europe to other parts of Asia and North America.
